Recently, the reporter came to Yugouliang Village, located in the northwest of Zhangbei County, Hebei Province, which was listed as a national poverty village in 2013. In 2016, the targeted poverty alleviation working group in the village unearthed a prevention-oriented “fitness yoga” poverty alleviation model from the living habits of villagers. With the active participation of villagers, this model has greatly reduced the sickness rate of the poor, activated the endogenous motivation of the poor to take the initiative to escape poverty, and became a popular network. Nowadays, Yugouliang Village has become a tourist destination in Zhangbei Grassland, and has promoted the production and sales of local quinoa, potato and other special agricultural and animal husbandry industries. At present, the village is building a "China Yoga First Village" model integrating elderly yoga fitness, leisure, summer vacation, health and wellness.
