Mask for everyone at the start of the school year. Jean-Michel Blanquer, guest on the France 2 set this Thursday, announced that the mask would be compulsory for all students over 11 years old, even when social distancing is respected.
This is a change from the protocol provided by the government in July, which relied on an obligation to wear a mask if social distancing was not respected. Regarding outdoor spaces, wearing a mask will be subject to a “local assessment”.
A mask funded by families
This mask will be provided by parents, because it is "a supply like any other, like the kit," said the minister, who recalled that the back-to-school allowance had been increased by 100 euros this year. To the question of possible re-containment for some students, the Minister of Education replied "yes, it is possible".
