Al-Sa`ida plasma recovering from "Corona" is more effective than others
The Director General of the National Blood Transfusion Services at the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Ihab Serageldin, revealed that the antibodies in the plasma of recovered people from Upper Egypt were more effective than their counterparts in the governorates of Lower Egypt and the rest of the governorates of the Republic, according to the results of the study conducted by the ministry on plasma Recovered. He explained that work is underway to study this matter and try to find the causes, which made the Ministry of Health expand plasma centers in Upper Egypt, and the opening of centers in the governorates of Fayoum, Beni Suef, Assiut, Sohag and Qena, and a center in Aswan is being prepared.
Serageldin indicated that the first national research paper on recovered plasma will be published in Egypt within days, pointing out, in statements published by the Egyptian Al-Watan, that the results of the study are very promising, and that they are being published during one of the international scientific periodicals. He explained that Cairo governorate came in first place for plasma donors recovering from the new Corona virus, followed by Fayoum Governorate, and Sharkia Governorate came in third place.
