The maximum wind force near the center was 12 (35 m/s) when it landed. Affected by the typhoon, Zhuhai initiated the city's first-level emergency response for wind protection, and implemented the "four suspensions", namely suspension of work, business, city, and class.
At present, some main roads in Zhuhai have been closed, public transportation has been suspended, a large number of flights have been cancelled at the airport, customs clearance at the port has also been suspended, and the Guangzhou-Zhuhai and Zhuhai-Zhuhai intercity railways have been suspended.

Starting at 0:00 on the 19th, Zhuhai will implement traffic control on Qinghuang Road, and take closure measures for Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Zhuhai Bridge, Hengqin Bridge, Hengqin Second Bridge, Doumen Bridge, etc. (except for rescue vehicles); Hengqin Port will be closed turn off. The city's public transportation such as buses, taxis, and sea flights have been suspended.
Due to the impact of the typhoon, the port management authorities of the Zhuhai and Macao have negotiated that the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Zhuhai Highway Port will suspend passenger entry and exit procedures at 1 o'clock on the 19th, and the Gongbei Port and the dedicated port for the Zhuhai-Macau cross-border industrial zone will start at 6 o'clock. In order to ensure the safety of railway transportation and passengers, the railway department further adjusted the transportation plan. On the 19th, the Jiangzhan, Guangzhou-Zhuhai, and Zhuhai-Zhuhai Intercity Railways were suspended, and some trains on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen, Nanguang Railway and Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail were suspended. The G68 trip from Zhuhai to Beijing West and the G542 trip from Zhuhai to Zhengzhou East will start from Guangzhou South Railway Station.
Affected by "Hygoss", as of 10 o'clock, Zhuhai Airport cancelled 67 inbound and outbound flights on the same day. Among them, 34 outbound flights were cancelled and 33 inbound flights were cancelled. At present, there are no flights taking off and landing at Zhuhai Airport, and there are few passengers in the terminal building. The airport operation guarantees normal.
Before the typhoon, the Jinwan District of Zhuhai urgently mobilized the transfer and resettlement of people at risk. All 29 shelters in the district, including shelter centers, village office buildings, primary and secondary schools, were open to the public. The shelters are fully equipped with living security materials, and all shelters accommodate 11,127 resettlers.
