Infections continue to increase. The report of the Ministry of Health published this Tuesday reveals 2,128 new confirmed cases in the last 24 hours , almost 300 more than on Monday, when 1,833 were reported. It should be remembered that this figure includes only those positives who underwent the diagnostic test yesterday.

However, the real increase in infections - which includes the PCR carried out in previous days but whose result has been known in the last hours - is 5,114 . This is a data similar to the previous day: yesterday Health registered more than 16,000 cases since Friday, an average of more than 5,000 daily positives. Thus, there are already 364,196 people infected by the virus since the beginning of the pandemic .

In any case, most of the 2,128 infected with CRP yesterday are in Madrid (704), Aragon (374), the Basque Country (282) and Andalusia (202) .

In addition, Spain has become the European country that has registered the most positive cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 inhabitants in the last fourteen days, according to data updated this Tuesday by the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC, in its acronym in English). The rate in Spain rises to 132.2 cases compared to 98.6 in Luxembourg , the country that until now was at the fore in cumulative incidence rates. In third place is Malta, with 98.3; followed by Romania, with 88.5; and Belgium; with 60.8.

On the other hand and within the European scope, the number of deaths from coronavirus per 100,000 inhabitants in the last two weeks is led by Romania with 3.1, followed by Bulgaria (1.8), Luxembourg (1), Belgium (0, 8) and Spain, Italy, Sweden, Poland and Portugal (0.4) .

The updated figures from Health have also reported 24 deaths during the last hours , so that the total of deaths since the start of the pandemic already rises to 28,670. It should be remembered that this figure excludes deaths in residences and those who manifested symptoms compatible with Covid-19, but those who did not undergo the diagnostic test. With death date in the last week, 63 deaths have been reported .

Almost half of these are located in Madrid, which communicates 25 . Andalusia, for its part, registers nine; Castilla y León, six; Aragon, Catalonia and Galicia, three; Canary Islands, Castilla La Mancha, Valencia, Extremadura and Murcia, two; Balearic Islands, Cantabria, Navarra and La Rioja, one. Only Asturias, Ceuta, Melilla and the Basque Country have not added any deaths in the last seven days .

Hospitalized people are growing again and continue to exceed one thousand . Specifically, the official count reports 1,096 admissions, 90 more than on Monday . Madrid continues to lead in the number of hospitalizations (308); followed by Andalucía (144) and Aragón (139). Likewise, 65 patients have entered the ICU during the same period of time and 24 in the last hours, so there are already 11,992 patients with Covid who have entered this hospital unit because of the virus.
