  At a briefing on the latest situation of new coronary pneumonia cases held in the afternoon of the same day, Zhang Zhujun, director of the Infectious Diseases Division of the Center for Health Protection of the Department of Health, introduced that of the 48 new confirmed cases, 2 were imported cases, involving 1 Ethiopian pilot and 1 A student returning to Hong Kong from India; of the 46 local infection cases, 37 were related to previously confirmed cases, and the source of 9 was unknown. There are about 30 preliminary confirmed cases.

  In terms of local group cases, three more people at the Kwai Chung Container Terminal were diagnosed; one more foreign domestic helper from the Cheung Hing Building Group in Mong Kok and one from the Zhang Dawei Employment Center in Tsuen Wan was diagnosed; and one more person from the Dao Heung Gathering Group in the Arran Center in Mong Kok was diagnosed.   Zhang Zhujun pointed out that although the number of cases of unknown origin has declined, the total number has been accumulated so far. He believes that the risk of continued spread of the virus is still there.

  Yu Huiling, Chief Administrative Manager (Medical Effectiveness and Technology Management) of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, reported at the briefing that a total of 3,392 patients diagnosed or suspected of being infected with the new crown virus have recovered and discharged. At present, public hospitals have opened 685 negative pressure wards and 1247 negative pressure beds. There are now a total of 829 confirmed patients in 18 public hospitals, community isolation facilities and community treatment facilities. Among them, 30 are in critical condition and 48 are in serious condition. The remaining 751 people are in stable condition.
