NHK Heart Exhibition 50 poems of people with disabilities are displayed Tokyo Shibuya August 13th 15:02

"NHK Heart Exhibition", which introduces poems written by people with disabilities, started in Shibuya, Tokyo on the 13th.

The “NHK Heart Exhibition” is held every year by NHK and the National Council of Social Welfare with the aim of realizing a society in which people with and without disabilities can understand each other and live together.

For the 25th anniversary, 50 poems selected from over 3,400 entries are on display.

Of these, the poem “Taiyadango” by Takahiro Uchida (25) from Tokyo, who lives in a wheelchair with an intractable illness whose motor function declines, says,
“Fluffy dumplings. Sticky dumplings.
It will
be a good boy (dango) ."

Uchida-san was impressed by the strength of the dumplings and wrote a poem with the intention of becoming such a man, “I was very happy to see the poem displayed. I would like to hear your impression."

In the corner where you can listen to the poetry readings on display, you can enjoy reading by 5 popular voice actors, including Wasabi Mizuta who plays "Doraemon" and Minami Takayama who plays Rantaro of "Nintama Rantaro". ..

The "NHK Heart Exhibition" will be held at the "Bunkamura Gallery" in Shibuya, Tokyo until the 6th of next month. To prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, we will limit the number of people and accept advance reservations online.

The works on display are also available on the Internet along with readings by voice actors.
