According to He Wensheng, the security policeman of the North Street Police Station, during the 34 years that Tang had escaped, he had been hiding in many areas across the country. He came to Qinghai more than ten years ago and has settled here for a long time.
In 2004, Tang was included in the Heilongjiang Public Security Online's list of fugitives.
At the beginning of August this year, the police from the North Street Police Station discovered during their work that a 71-year-old man living near Nanshan Road in the central district was highly similar to Tang in aspects such as physical characteristics.
