On August 12, the reporter interviewed Zhang Nengwei, director of the Beijing Century Altar Weight Loss Center. He told the reporter that at present, about one out of ten obese people in China may need gastric surgery to solve the obesity problem.

Generally speaking, we Chinese are over 20% obese, around 23%-25%, so we can say that 1 out of 4 people is obese. To reach this severity (degree), medical intervention is needed, which is about ten percent. About 1 out of 10 people may need surgery.
[Explanation] Zhang Nengwei introduced that if obesity has caused diabetes, apnea syndrome and other diseases, or the value obtained by dividing the weight by the square of the height exceeds 32, surgery is required.

As long as the body weight does not exceed 300 kg, a sleeve-shaped stomach is generally used, and it is enough to cut off a part of the stomach, which can solve the problem. If it is particularly severe, the stomach and intestines may need to be added (shortened).
[Explanation] Zhang Nengwei said that surgical weight loss is not suitable for everyone, and medical monitoring for up to two years is required after surgery. Taking into account the growth and development of adolescents, it is generally necessary to be 14 years old to perform bariatric surgery, but Zhang Nengwei said that the number of patients under 14 is now increasing.

We have a twelve-year-old child who comes to us. The twelve-year-old child is more than 180 kilograms. If you imagine a 12-year-old child, it is round. Finally, I told him, I said that we stipulate that the (surgery) should be performed at the age of 14, so you just insist, don’t let him get fat again, and then he will come on the first day after his 14th birthday, I said Why? He said that I can't wait for this day. The child is already suffering from severe hypoxia, and it has been more than 260 catties since my arrival.

When I went to the local academic conference one day, I saw that I was almost dead, and my whole body was purple.
