Recently, a video about the successful launch of a student's self-made solid rocket hit the Internet.

The author of the video and rocket designer Liu Shang studied aerospace engineering at the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. After finishing his freshman year, he spent the summer vacation time thinking about a "creative rocket" and sharing his aerospace dream.

In the video, a cool-looking rocket with a transparent body stands in a clearing waiting to be launched. The countdown began, the engine was ignited, and the rocket dragged its tail smoke into the air, becoming a bright light dotted on the backdrop of sunset clouds and full moon. Then the rocket fell, the parachute successfully opened, the rocket landed smoothly and was recovered. This video completely shows the whole process of a rocket from independent design, to fluid simulation, manufacturing, testing, control, and finally launch and recovery.
