American Disney company decided to release the movie'Mulan' on its own company's online video platform, not a movie theater. Then, in some countries, theater owners are strongly protesting against Mulan's billboards.

Reporter Choi Ho-won pointed out what impact this release would have on the film industry as a whole.

A man hits a billboard in the movie'Mulan' with a baseball bat, and then tramples it with his foot.

This man was a French theater owner, and he couldn't stand upset when the American Disney company said it would give up the release of Mulan.

'Mulan' is the story of men and women going to war in China.

The production cost amounts to 240 billion won in our money.

Disney plans to release'Mulan' on its online video service, Disney Plus, starting on the 4th of next month.

In the United States and France, after paying 8,300 won per month as a basic subscription fee, you have to pay an additional 38,000 won to watch Mulan.

In Korea, where Disney Plus has not advanced, it will be released at theaters early next month.

Overseas, online-first releases are expanding, and if Disney's releases succeed beyond theatrical releases, it could have a huge impact on the entire theater industry, which is more than 120 years old.

[Sung Sung Yoon/Movie Critic: There is a problem that (film production company) has to distribute profits to the theater when the theater is released. If you go directly to the online video service, you can be free from that part... .] As

large-scale foreign currencies postpone the opening of the theater, Korean films have been ranked No. 1 in Korean cinema for three months.

However, our film industry has also greatly reduced its profits due to social distancing, and concerns about online-first disclosure are deepening.
