We take a look back at the murderous attack on the Médecins Sans Frontières maternity hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan. It was May 12, 2020. 24 people died, including mothers and children.

Publicity

The attack has not been claimed. After the Taliban denied any involvement, all suspicion fell on the Afghan branch of the Islamic State group responsible for numerous attacks against the country's Shiite minority. The maternity hospital is located in a neighborhood in western Kabul, where the Hazara community lives.
