On August 11, the Nanjing Railway Public Security Office reported a case: At 11:30 on the 9th, the patrolling police on the north platform of Nanjing South Railway Station found a man sitting outside the platform railing and wanted to commit suicide.
The police on the scene evacuated the passengers in the square below the man, pulled the cordon and persuaded the man. During the persuasion, the man leaned out of the railing several times, very thrilling. After investigating and judging the scene, the police and railway special police officers distracted the man while arranging special police officers to wait for an opportunity to rescue. At around 11:50, under the persuasion of the police, the man relaxed his vigilance. Then the railway special police rushed on the man, took the man in his arms, and pulled the man off the railing together with the police at the scene.
Upon questioning, the man had a relationship dispute with his girlfriend. He was refused many calls to his girlfriend. He wanted to jump off the platform to commit suicide. Fortunately, the police rescued him in time.
