On August 8, a dangerous situation occurred on a construction site in Qianchang Village, Shiqiao Town, Xiangzhou District, Xiangyang City, Hubei Province. A simple work shed was surrounded by rising river water, and a dozen workers were trapped.

After hearing the news, the Xiangyang Fire Rescue Detachment immediately dispatched more than a dozen firefighters with lifeboats and rushed to the scene. The rescuers fixed a towing rope on the lifeboat and slowly approached the work shed while pulling the safety rope pulled out in advance by the project department. At this time, the work shed was crumbling.

In the end, rescuers rescued all the 15 workers who were trapped on the shore in four times. According to the rescued workers, there was a small river next to their work shed, but the current was very small and they did not realize the danger. However, it rained suddenly at 5 o'clock in the morning, and it took five or six hours at a time. The workers who gathered in the shed to rest at noon realized that the situation was not good. The water flowing out of the small river quickly surrounded the shed. Fortunately, the firefighters rescued the island in time.
