Despite the fact that Pablo Iglesias cemented a good part of his success, when he emerged in political life, in a demagoguery full of promises of regeneration, the reality is that every day that passes, suspicions about the financing of Podemos increase. In addition to the serious irregularities detected by the Court of Auditors and the economic income from Iran to the producer of Iglesias, as this newspaper advanced, there is now added evidence of the link between Podemos and Neurona, the company in charge of the last electoral campaign of the formation home and specialized in billing jobs to Chavista governments and leaders. EL MUNDO reveals today that the Executive Service of the Commission for the Prevention of Money Laundering (Sepblac) sent a financial intelligence report to the Police and the Civil Guard last May, warning of the ties between Podemos and Neurona. The document details that this company, shortly after its constitution in March 2019, received transfers in a bank account amounting to about 400,000 euros ordered by the IU coalition with Podemos. This amount corresponds to payments corresponding to the general election campaign in April last year, although most of the funds were later transferred to Mexico "in favor of a society."

From this newspaper we have repeatedly defended that the accumulation of evidence on alleged irregularities in their accounts requires that the leader of Podemos offer full explanations. It is not enough to shoot at the media, as Echenique did unacceptably after the revelation in these pages of the Court of Audit investigation. Pablo Iglesias needs to divert attention from the accusations that corner Podemos and hence the socialists themselves consider that the campaign against the monarchy, as a result of the departure from the country of Juan Carlos I, obeys not only the undisguised will to erode the constitutional framework but to the need to cover up the signs of irregularities that weigh on Podemos by intensifying the debate on the form of State.

This irresponsible behavior meets the reproach of the citizens. According to a survey by Sigma Dos for EL MUNDO, almost 42% of Spaniards consider that there is a campaign orchestrated by the members of the PSOE to overthrow the monarchy, while 54% are in favor of the departure of Podemos from the Government. These eloquent figures should make Sánchez think. You cannot defend the 1978 consensus and, at the same time, govern hand in hand with those who aspire to break the pact that has made possible the period of greatest prosperity and well-being in the history of Spain. If Sánchez wants to embrace the monarchy, he must break with his populist allies. Especially if, in addition, they carry well-founded suspicions about the origin of their finances.
