Male prison officer in his 30s at Fukuoka Detention Center confirmed infected with new corona 20 August 06, 10 August

It was newly confirmed that a male prison officer in his 30s working at the Fukuoka Detention Center was infected with the new coronavirus.

According to the Ministry of Justice, the newly confirmed infection was a male prison officer in his 30s who was in charge of instructing and supervising defendants and inmates at Fukuoka Detention Center.

The prison officer went to a medical institution on the 3rd and 4th of this month for symptoms such as fever, but was judged to be unnecessary for the PCR test, and was working on the 7th because he recovered.

However, on the 8th, I felt an abnormality in my sense of smell, so when I visited a medical institution again and performed a PCR test, a positive result was confirmed on the 9th.

At the Fukuoka Detention Center, a male prison officer in his twenties was confirmed to have been infected on the 23rd of last month, and the defendants and prisoners who seemed to have contacted the prison officer confirmed to be infected were isolated in a private room. We are taking steps to prevent the expansion.
