Antonio Banderas will remember his 60th birthday forever. The actor posted a lengthy message on Twitter on Monday to announce that he had just tested positive for coronavirus on his birthday.

"I want to make it known publicly that today, August 10, I am forced to celebrate my 60th birthday in quarantine, having tested positive for Covid-19," he wrote on the social network. But don't panic, Antonio Banderas wants to be reassuring.

"Giving meaning to my 60 years"

“I would like to add that I feel relatively good, just a little more tired than usual. I am convinced that I will recover as quickly as possible by following the medical instructions which I hope will allow me to overcome the infection from which I am suffering, and which affects so many people around the world, ”the actor continues.

In conclusion, Antonio Banderas specifies that he intends "to take advantage of this isolation to read, write, rest, and continue to make plans to give meaning to my 60 years, which I welcome with great enthusiasm". And a hint of nostalgia visibly, since it accompanies this long message with a photo of him as a child, naive and light years away from the coronavirus.
