On August 10, theater and film actor, director Veniamin Smekhov celebrates his 80th birthday. Smekhov was expelled from the first year of the Shchukin school for shyness, but later he still managed to become a famous artist, director and TV presenter. The actor had a chance to serve in the Taganka Theater and Sovremennik, for more than 50 years he devoted himself to cinema. Among the most striking films with Smekhov's participation are "D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers", "The Tale of Wanderings", "Smoke and the Kid", "I ask you to blame Klava K. for my death." Veniamin Smekhov also wrote several books.
