This is the second case of plague death in Inner Mongolia after a death of intestinal plague in Damao Banner, Baotou City on August 6. At present, both Damao Banner and Wulateqian Banner have issued Level III warnings for plague epidemics.
According to news, on the morning of August 6, 2020, Uradqian Banner of Bayannaoer City received the "Notification Letter Regarding a Case of Fever Patient" from Kundulun District Health Commission of Baotou City, and notified Shadgesumubi of Uradqian Banner. A patient from Ketigacha went to the First Affiliated Hospital of Baotou Medical College by dialing the emergency number 120 in Baotou City. In the early morning of August 7, the patient died due to multiple organ failure, and the rescue was ineffective. After consultation with two expert groups in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Baotou City, the patient was determined to be bubonic plague.
According to the requirements of the "Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Plague Control Emergency Plan (2020 Edition)" and the "Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Plague Epidemic Early Warning Implementation Plan", Urad Qianqi issued a third-level plague prevention and control early warning, which entered the early warning period from August 7, 2020. The warning period lasts until the end of 2020.
At present, all relevant prevention and control measures have been implemented. Seven close contacts have been subjected to centralized isolation medical observation and given preventive medication and plague nucleic acid PCR testing as required. There is no abnormality such as fever. The plague nucleic acid PCR test results are all Negative.
At the same time, the deceased’s place of residence was sealed and isolated, large and small quarantine circles were delineated, epidemiological investigations were comprehensively carried out, the health monitoring of the quarantined subjects was strengthened, and the health monitoring, plague nucleic acid detection, publicity and education of all persons in the quarantine circle were carried out, so The residence and surrounding farms and herdsmen’s residences shall be completely wiped out daily, and the deceased’s residence and surrounding areas shall be exterminated with fleas and rodents, and environmental sanitation and clean-up treatment shall be carried out.
On August 6, the Baotou City Health Commission reported that there was one death in Wendu Village, Suji New Village, Shibao Town, Damao Banner. The patient was diagnosed as intestinal plague after consultation. The cause of death was circulatory system failure. (Finish)
