On the afternoon of August 8, a fire broke out in a factory building in Chendai Town, Jinjiang City, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, resulting in 8 deaths.
According to the situation report issued by the People's Government of Chendai Town, at about 14:30 that day, a fire broke out in the factory building No. 95, Dinghou Road, Xiban Village, Chendai Town, causing 7 deaths at the scene and 1 person injured and died after being sent to the hospital.
The burning building has seven floors, covering an area of about 300 square meters, and a fire area of about 750 square meters. At present, the fire has been extinguished and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
At present, the Jinjiang Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government have established a working group for the aftermath of the accident.
