According to the official WeChat news of the Shanghai Health Commission, from 0-24 o'clock on August 6th, 7 cases of imported new coronary pneumonia confirmed overseas were reported through the port joint prevention and control mechanism. One new case was cured and discharged from Singapore.

  Case 1 is of Chinese nationality and lives in the UAE. He departed from the UAE on August 3 and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on the same day. After entering the country, he was quarantined and observed and developed symptoms during the period. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory test and imaging examination results, etc., were diagnosed as a confirmed case.

  Cases 2-7 are all Chinese nationals, working or living in the Philippines, taking the same flight, departing from the Philippines on August 5 and arriving at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on the same day. They were quarantined and observed after entering the country, and symptoms appeared during the period. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory test and imaging examination results, etc., were diagnosed as a confirmed case.

  Seven confirmed imported cases abroad have been transferred to designated medical institutions for treatment, and 137 close contacts on the same flight have been tracked, and centralized isolation and observation have been implemented.

  From 0-24 o'clock on August 6, there were no new confirmed cases of local new coronary pneumonia.

  As of 24:00 on August 6, a total of 422 imported confirmed cases were reported overseas, 393 were cured and discharged, and 29 were treated in hospital. There are 2 suspected cases to be investigated.

  As of 24:00 on August 6, a total of 342 confirmed cases were reported locally, 335 were cured and discharged, and 7 died. There are currently 0 suspected cases to be investigated.
