Neil Young has previously expressed his strong dissatisfaction with President Donald Trump playing the artist's songs during his election rallies. Now Young is taking it a step further and is suing the US president's election campaign, writes The Wrap.

Played at a meeting

The background is that the songs "Rockin in the free world" and "Devil's sidewalk" were played at Donald Trump's election rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma in June.

In his lawsuit, Neil Young claims that Trump's election campaign has committed a copyright infringement, as they lack the rights to play the songs.

Many critical

A number of other artists and bands, including the Rolling Stones, Rihanna and Adele, have complained that their music is played without consent at the president's election rallies ahead of this autumn's upcoming presidential election.
