There were 4 newly imported cases of asymptomatic infections imported from abroad. Guangzhou reported 2 cases from Zambia; Shenzhen reported 1 case from Hong Kong; Zhanjiang reported 1 case from the Philippines. All of the above were found at the port of entry or isolation point, and were quarantined for observation after entry. 2 new cases were discharged.
As of 24:00 on August 4, a total of 1,687 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia have been reported in the province (292 imported from abroad). There are currently 18 cases in hospital.
