In the face of the first typhoon that affected Shanghai this year, various departments on the front line of the Jinshan Seawall have been prepared to strengthen inspections of seawall dams and inventory of flood control material reserves to ensure the safety of coastal levees.
On the morning of August 4, the gust of wind at Jinshan Seawall reached level 8. As the typhoon moves northward, the wind will continue to increase. The Shanghai Jinshan Seawall Management Office also launched an emergency response plan, with additional personnel on duty 24 hours a day, always paying attention to typhoon trends. In addition to daily inspections, it also conducts carpet surveys on weak areas of key parts of the seawall.
