Yunnan Public Security Department: Police in Xishuangbanna Prefecture have been involved in the incident of Nanjing female college students losing contact at the border

  Following the Nanjing police's response to the incident that "Li Qianyue, a 22-year-old female college student in Nanjing, lost contact in Yunnan for 24 days", on August 3, The Paper (www.thepaper.cn) learned from the Yunnan Provincial Public Security Bureau News Office that Xishuangbanna Prefecture police had intervened. The investigation of the incident is currently being processed quickly, and further news will be notified in time.

  On the 3rd, Mr. Li, the father of female college student Li Qianyue, told The Paper that he and his family have now returned to Nanjing, Jiangsu, waiting for news from the police. Mr. Li said that he inquired about his daughter's last whereabouts, and he could see that her daughter was going to Menghai County, Yunnan Province, where the connection was lost, on purpose. "After she got off the plane in Xishuangbanna, she drove to the Xinghai checkpoint in Menghai County. The time between them was very tight and hasty."

  On the same day, the Nanjing police said in an interview with the Xiaoxiang Morning News that the criminal police are currently investigating and handling the incident. According to the police, after reporting the incident on July 13, the Public Security Bureau set up a special work class to provide the Yunnan police with the track and related clues of the missing girl.

  Modern Express previously reported that Li Qianyue was born in 1998 and graduated from Jiangsu Vocational and Technical College of Economics and Trade with a flight attendant major in Culture and Tourism College in June this year. At 10:42 am on July 9th, Li Qianyue left alone from Maqun No.1 Community in Qixia District, Nanjing. After that, the phone was turned off, and there was no response from WeChat and QQ. On July 13, Li Qianyue’s father, Mr. Li, reported to the Maqun Police Station of the Qixia Branch of the Nanjing Public Security Bureau for help. According to the police's feedback, Li Qianyue arrived in Kunming, Yunnan by plane from Nanjing on July 9, and from Kunming to Xishuangbanna on the evening of the 9th. After getting off the plane, she arrived at the Xinghai checkpoint in Menghai County at 9:16 in the evening. There is no clue.
