The total number of newly confirmed cases and asymptomatic infections declined for 3 consecutive days. Recently, 23 confirmed cases in Urumqi were cured and discharged, and 22 asymptomatic infections were released from medical observation, which shows that the rescue work has achieved good results.

It is reported that from 0:00 to 24:00 on August 1, Urumqi City reported 29 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia and 9 new asymptomatic infections. On the same day, 7 new confirmed cases were cured and discharged, and 6 new asymptomatic infections were released from medical observation. From 0:00 on July 15 to 24:00 on August 1, a total of 23 confirmed cases were cured and discharged, and 22 cases of asymptomatic infections were released from medical observation. As of 24:00 on August 1, there were 565 confirmed cases in the city; there were 110 asymptomatic infections.
Sui Rong said that the number of newly confirmed cases in Urumqi on August 1 dropped by 2 compared with the previous day, and the total number of newly confirmed cases and asymptomatic infections dropped for 3 consecutive days. This shows that the effectiveness of the previous epidemic prevention and control measures is showing.
