Provide subsidies for barrier-free renovation of families with disabilities in Fujian Province.
It is understood that the subsidy targets are the severely physically disabled, severely visually disabled, and severely multiple disabled persons with physical or visual disabilities who enjoy living allowances for the disabled or the assistance provided by the extremely poor. It is reported that Fujian Province is the first province in the country to implement a barrier-free renovation subsidy system for disabled families.
The "Plan" clarified 14 types of provincial-level renovation projects for barrier-free renovation subsidies for disabled families, including floor leveling, door widening, low-level peepholes, wireless voice intercom doorbells, and lifting showers. Each household can apply for a maximum of 3 subsidies, and the maximum can receive a subsidy of 4200 yuan. Localities can also expand implementation targets, increase subsidy projects, and raise subsidy standards based on local actual conditions. According to statistics, there are about 16,000 disabled families in Fujian Province who meet the barrier-free renovation requirements.
Renovation projects that eligible families with disabilities can apply for are automatically evaluated and generated by the Fujian Comprehensive Assistive Devices Service Platform for Disabled Persons based on the input information of the disabled, for selection of renovation objects, and individual renovation projects can be determined in conjunction with on-site evaluation.
It is reported that the reconstruction object should complete the project application before the end of July 2021. Applicants can log in to the Fujian Comprehensive Assistive Device Service Platform for Disabled Persons to submit the corresponding materials online and select the reconstruction project. They can also hold a valid "People's Republic of China Disability Certificate". Resident ID card and your bank card, etc., apply to the Disabled Persons’ Federation or the reception desk determined by the Disabled Persons’ Federation where the household registration is located. The barrier-free renovation of families with disabilities can either be arranged by the applicants themselves, or the Disabled Persons’ Federation at all levels can entrust a third-party agreement agency to organize the construction in the form of government purchases of services.
