Recently, Pite Havsbad was to organize a three-course dinner with entertainment by Danny Saucedo where 250 guests were welcome, but the event was stopped. Had the artist not performed, the same number of people would have been allowed to gather on the premises, but the musical entertainment made the law come into force. The Public Order Act stipulates that a maximum of 50 people may gather at public gatherings, such as music events.

The music industry has previously questioned that, for example, baths and outdoor cafes are allowed to let in hundreds of people, while the same does not apply to cultural events. Minister of the Interior Mikael Damberg (S) has previously told Kulturnyheterna that it is not relevant to ease the restrictions at the moment.

Opposition parties critical

Now the rules are also being questioned by cultural politicians in the opposition parties, Dagens Nyheter's tour shows. Lotta Finstorp (M) and Roland Utbult (KD) think that the government should review the possibilities to make it easier for the cultural sector, which is hit hard financially by the restrictions.

Per Lodenius (C) and Vasiliki Tsouplaki (V) think that the government should make a new review in the autumn and see if it is possible to ease the restrictions for the cultural sector in an infectious way.

Christer Nylander (L) and Angelika Bengtsson (SD) do not comment on the possibilities of easing the restrictions, but see that there is a need to clarify the regulations.
