“Moscow cinemas open on August 1 following the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor. I do not cherish any special illusions, but, nevertheless, here are two scales: on one - everyone has long missed the cinema, and they say that they will go to any film, ”Alexei Vasyasin, General Director of the United Cinema Network, told RIA Novosti.

He added that, on the other hand, "there are no major releases" and "there are significant restrictions on filling."

“We don’t think anything, we just wait, in the hope that the audience will come. And if this happens, new films will catch up, there will be a second wind, ”Vasyasin noted.

As specified in the Moscow mayor's office, from August 1, cinemas, theaters and concert halls with a capacity of no more than 3,000 people will resume work in the capital, provided that the occupancy rate is 50%.

In March, the Ministry of Culture recommended that cinemas suspend screenings for visitors to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection COVID-19.
