"According to information from regional forestry dispatch services, over the past 24 hours on July 29, 60 forest fires were liquidated in Russia on an area of 7883 hectares," RIA Novosti was quoted as saying.
It is noted that by 0:00 on July 29, 104 forest fires were recorded in Russia, which were actively extinguished.
Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Rostov region reported that the region retains an extreme fire hazard of the fifth class.
