HBO's miniseries "Watchmen" garnered 26 nominations for this year's Emmy Gala. The series can, among other things, win an award as best miniseries and the main characters Regina King and Jeremy Irons both have a chance at a figurine.
"The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" is the comedy series with the most nominations, 20 pieces. Among other things, Rachel Brosnahan can once again be praised for the lead role as Miriam "Midge" Maisel - a role that gave the actor an Emmy 2018.
Among the drama series, "Ozark" and "Succession" stand out, both of which scrape together 18 nominations.
Despite the prevailing pandemic, the Emmy Gala will be held on 20 September. But how the gala, which this year is led by Jimmy Kimmel, will be designed remains to be seen.
