A man from the US state of Wisconsin shared a $ 22 million lottery prize with a close friend, in fulfillment of a covenant he made with him 28 years ago.

The British newspaper "Daily Mail" reported that Thomas Cook said that he called a friend, Tom Finney, last month to tell him that he won on the 10th of June the lottery prize, and that he would give him half the amount, in implementation of the pledge the two friends made in 1992 when the game started.

After years of buying lottery tickets, Cook from Elk Mound village bought the Power Ball award ticket at a convenience store in Menomonee.

Cook and Vinnie went with their wives to the Wisconsin lottery headquarters in Madison to receive the million dollar prize.
