Ambulance runs 124 times in one sky? "Lifeline" cannot be occupied at will

"I rushed here in a hurry and there was no one, so I ran for nothing."-Recently, a reporter from Xinhua Daily New Media learned from the Nanjing Emergency Center in Jiangsu that on July 22, the center answered 2,120 calls for help. 521 rescues were dispatched, reaching the highest in history. Among them, 124 empty runs and 32 drunk people alone, becoming the "culprit" of ambulance empty running. In normal times, ambulances run empty.

120 ambulances have built a "lifeline" for emergency rescue of patients and medical treatment. However, the ambulance ran 124 times in one sky, which not only seriously wasted public emergency resources, but also may have adverse effects on other patients in need of assistance.

In recent years, reports about the phenomenon of ambulance running empty have appeared from time to time. On the one hand, some people don’t understand the nature of the ambulance and the standard of leaving the car. They call 120 for major illnesses and minor pains, such as stomachache, fever, drunkenness, etc., when they learn that ambulances are charged and more expensive than taxis or have some symptoms. When remission, some people no longer accept the ambulance to be sent to the doctor, causing the vehicle to run empty; on the other hand, some enthusiastic people will urgently dial 120 when someone is injured or fainted on the road, or even repeat the call. In addition, there may be a few boring people playing 120 pranks.

In either case, it objectively caused the waste and occupation of ambulance resources. As we all know, ambulances play a pre-hospital first aid function, but the number is very limited, and there is even a shortage in some places. Under such a background, the ambulance runs more than 100 times in one sky, which is undoubtedly a heartache and speechless thing. If there are people who are in urgent need of treatment due to critical situations such as myocardial infarction and drowning, on the other hand, the ambulance is misled and "commanded indiscriminately" and drove empty on the road. This is obviously a situation that should be changed.

The "lifeline" of the 120 emergency call should not be invaded, and 100% should be kept open. This requires multi-party linkage. On the one hand, more people need to know that ambulances are professional rescue and escort vehicles, not free rescue, and the charging standard is higher than that of social vehicles. In non-critical emergency situations, do not dial 120 lightly. On the other hand, for malicious troublemakers, fines, administrative detention, etc. shall be imposed in accordance with the Public Security Administration Penalty Law. Of course, some kind people should be treated differently when they dial 120, and their enthusiasm for helping others should not be stifled with one stick.

The ambulance ran 124 times in the sky, which is more like a wake-up call, giving people a clearer and clearer understanding and reflection on emergency resources.
