Rodolfo Sancho (Madrid, 1975), son of Félix Ángel Sancho Gracia (son, therefore, of the myth), tells that as a child he preferred scary stories. "They reassured me," he says. And perhaps in his statement he succeeds in agreeing even with Bruno Bettelheim, convinced that the whispered horror stories in his ear predispose the child (and all of us) towards the correct understanding of a world in which love always appears mixed with hate , anguish or suffering. His movie ' Voces ', by debutante Ángel Gómez Hernández,It lands on the billboard in a time of pandemic, crisis and much panic. And he does it when Sancho is already one of the most recognized and recognizable actors from series like 'The Ministry of Time', 'Plastic Sea' or ' Isabel '. Who said fear?

The film comes at a moment of real terror for cinema in particular and for everything else. What scares you the most right now? I prefer to think positive. Everything is scary, but little by little there are reasons for hope . We come from the worst of times. I imagine, as far as cinema is concerned, that people will gradually gain confidence. Everything is connected. The world of cinema is bad, but the tourism sector is going through worse. Just as fear is spread, tranquility is spread. And when people go around counting that they have gone to the cinema or to the beach or wherever and nothing has happened, we will be who we were again. Just yesterday an exhibitor showed his indignation at the closing of the cinemas and the opening of the restaurants ... I understand it, but I think that things can be said without being constantly outraged. Do we always have to be outraged by everything? But I understand it perfectly. It is clear that in a nightclub there is more chance of infection than in a movie theater. That is a truism. It must be difficult not to be outraged in a permanently outraged society like this. Honestly I can no longer cope with outrage, insults, constant tension ... There is a very simple experiment. If you put the news on a Monday and then put it back on Friday, you realize that the newscasts already have the same format as a soap opera . Even if you missed a few installments, you can still stick to the plot without any problem. The characters are the same and they are always doing the same. It is a little desperate how little reality evolves. I am struck by the notorious rejection of tension and in favor of the understanding of Adolfo Suárez's godson ... Yes, indeed, my father was a friend of his and I ended up sponsored by Suárez. The truth is that those, those of the Transition, were other types of politicians ; a little more gentlemen and more respectful towards each other. What we are experiencing now so brutal and aggressive cannot be good. What relationship did he have with Suarez? Very little. Being very young, with five or six years. I have very vague memories. Later I hardly had any contact. He was a tremendously busy man always. How long has it been since interviews stopped asking him about his father? Not so long. At the end of the day, they continue to broadcast ' Curro Jiménez ' on number 2. I have always lived it more than as a slab as a challenge. You have to be very stubborn to dedicate yourself to the same of your father, when your father is who he is. Well, I was stubborn. And so I was that I always wanted to use my natural name. His name was Félix Sancho Gracia. I could have used his stage name and I didn't. His father was not just an actor, he was, if you will allow me, a period character ... My father drained his life to the last drop. He had millions of friends and used his profession to meet all kinds of people. Everyone wanted to see him and he ended up making friends with even the devil himself. He was a very funny and generous person. Does it come to a time when one can say that he talks about you to you with his father? I don't know what to say. Sometimes I think of Kirk and MIchael Douglas ... From the outside it looks clearer, but I lack perspective. I'd rather not think about it. ' The ministry of time ',' Plastic Sea ',' Isabel '... or even before' When you leave class ', which character or series do you owe more to? I think all of them, but above all to the possibility of going from one to another and always with a certain or a lot of repercussion; spinning one job with another and always with success. I have been very lucky because I have always had a new character capable of washing the previous one. I think each viewer reminds me of a piece of paper. And that is a privilege without a doubt. Now with the platforms, in addition, you are at once on all the sites at once, on Netflix, HBO, Amazon and Movistar. Is it true that before it was the cinema that gave prestige to the career of an actor and now it is television? Unlike in the United States, which are the trendsetters, in Spain there has never been so much difference between what was done on film and what was done on TV. And now, like it or not, many of the films are produced by television channels. With what is left to laugh at the origin of prestige. For the rest, the truth is that the evolution that television has experienced in the last five or six years, cinema has not had. The cinema continues with the same budgets, the same production design, the same mechanics ... Instead, the series have entered platforms aware that things are done very well in Spain ... And for little money. In ' Voices'works with younger actresses like Ana Fernández who also comes from television. Do you feel something like a generational leap? There is something of a jump with, for example, the whole matter of social networks. Something ' old school' yes I am. The whole day of feeding the ' tamagochi ' of the networks ... I honestly can't. It takes my life. Not for more followers you have more contracts . I can't imagine a director really paying attention to how many ' likes ' you have on your social network. Don't you think that something is lost when an actor is constantly exposed? Yes, the mystery is also part of the public projection of an actor. If people are fed up with seeing you eat breakfast every day, what will be the incentive to see you in a movie? I imagine that the beauty of the great Hollywood stars is that you did not know who they were. And that allowed them to transform. Do you think the cinema owes you a debt? You do what you think you have to do at all times. I said no to movies for making series and, to be honest, I was right.
