Chinese oceanographic research vessel re-cruising in the EEZ around Okinotorishima Out of water 22:09 on July 27

It was revealed that a Chinese marine research vessel, which had been confirmed to have sailed for the second time this month, left the waters on the 27th within the exclusive economic zone around Okinotorishima, the southernmost tip of Japan.

According to the 3rd Regional Coast Guard Headquarters, China's marine research vessel "Ocean" will move from 9th of this month onward within Japan's exclusive economic zone around Okinotorishima, but with no prior consent. I left the water on the 18th of this month, 9 days later.

However, it was confirmed that it was navigating in the water again on 24th of this month, and when the Japan Coast Guard cautioned, it said that it left the water approximately 370 km southwest of Okinotorishima on the morning of 27th.

It was confirmed that something like observation equipment was thrown into the sea when it entered the water area for the first time, but it was said that the second time was only drifting and sailing repeatedly.

The Japan Coast Guard will continue to watch for trends in this vessel.
