Producer, hip-hop artist, co-founder of Black Star Inc. Timur Yunusov, better known as Timati, announced his decision to leave the Black Star music label. The artist announced this on his Instagram page.

Timati stressed that this is not a spontaneous choice, but "a balanced decision of partners who have spent more than 20 years together, turned the muses market in the country and built the only successful" umbrella "brand."

The artist explained that he is leaving the label due to a divergence with colleagues in the vision of the future of the brand.

“Today, having turned into a“ group of companies ”, in my opinion, we naturally lost that chamber charm and focused on turnover, statistics and other bureaucracy, without which, in fact, no large company is possible. ... The guys want to be "Google", "Virgin", "Amazon" in their business, but the concept of Elon Musk is closer to me, "wrote the artist.

He stated that from now on he has no relation to the further activities of the company and is not involved in its artists.

At the same time, Timati added that he retains his stakes and rights in a number of Black Star Inc projects not related to music: Black Star Burger, Black Star Karting and Black Star Car Wash. In addition, he will manage the activities of the 13 barbershop and tattoo parlor, the 13 Beauty salon and the Black Star Fitness sports club.

Without going into details, the artist said that he has "big independent plans", and also announced a new album, which is scheduled for release in September 2020.

Timati's fans perceived the news of his departure differently. Many people regret the artist's decision and argue that it is difficult to imagine the Black Star label without him. Some, however, did not believe Timati, saying that he wrote it for the hype. Several users of the social network Instagram suggested that after leaving Black Star, the artist would become involved in politics.

Pop singer Philip Kirkorov also commented on the publication.

“A worthy example of how to disperse in a civilized manner!” - wrote the artist.

The music label Black Star was founded in 2006. Then he was aimed at promoting hip-hop artists, but now he works with other styles. Among the members of the label are musicians Mot, Klava Koka, Misha Marvin, Natan.

The company's activities in recent years have been accompanied by litigation with artists. So, in 2018, the company expired the contract with the singer Kristina Si (Kristina Sargsyan). They decided not to renew the cooperation. After that, it turned out that the pseudonym belongs to the label, although the artist had previously performed under it independently.

Kristina Sargsyan had to seek the right to use the songs and the pseudonym through the courts. According to The Flow, in August 2019, the parties were able to reach an amicable agreement.

In March 2019, after the expiration of the contract, Black Star left one of the key artists of the label - Yegor Creed. He said that he was offered a new contract with more favorable conditions, but the musician decided to abandon further cooperation with Black Star and become an independent performer. He stressed that he has outgrown the label, and is now ready to be "his own producer."

At the same time, the artist managed to negotiate with colleagues and obtain the rights to his pseudonym, as well as permission to perform with compositions released under the auspices of the label.

In 2019, L'One (Levan Gorozia) announced his departure from the producers. He lost the rights to the tracks recorded on the label and the pseudonym. The CEO of Black Star noted that the artist was offered to buy the rights, while the amount was reduced several times. In October 2019, it became known that Gorozia had failed to win the trial.

Last year, significant changes also took place in the work of the MALFA center, which was owned by Russian musician and producer Maxim Fadeev. At the end of October 2019, the producer announced the dissolution of all artists - at that time there were more than 30 of them. Fadeev explained that a production center of this size is difficult to manage, and announced a restructuring.

“The company will be tuned in to a very clear, intelligible job for one or two artists per year. We will be able to focus better and deliver a better product than we had, ”said the producer in his video message.

At the same time, almost all musicians received their works “for free use”. The only exceptions were two unnamed artists, with whom at that time there were legal proceedings.
