Why "Cursed", the new Netflix series, is already a hit

Netflix has just launched Cursed , a new heroic fantasy series starring Katherine Langford. And the program is already enjoying great success around the world. Broadcast in France since July 17, the series is at the first place of the Top 10 of the platform. So what does Cursed's success have to do with it  ?

First, Cursed is an adaptation of the eponymous novel by Tom Wheeler, rewriting the legend of King Arthur. We follow the adventures of Nimue, a teenage girl with a mysterious gift who sets off in search of Merlin and a legendary sword in the company of a young mercenary named… Arthur! First reason for the craze for Cursed  : A universe that resonates in each of us and the pleasure of diving (or diving back) into Arthurian legends. But that's not all.

Katherine Langford + Sword = Happiness

One of Cursed's strengths is obviously its main character, embodied - according to all critics, including those who have reservations about the overall quality of the program - wonderfully by Katherine Langford. And as the countless reactions on the web suggest, if the actress' presence is reason enough to watch the show, seeing her wielding the sword is worth all the gold in the world.
