The ranking of 100 shortage occupations announced in the second quarter

Beijing, July 22 (Reporter Li Xinping) The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security recently released the "Ranking of 100 Shortage Jobs in the Second Quarter of 2020", and marketers, couriers, and restaurant waiters have once again become the most shortage positions.

Compared with the first quarter, the structure of the 100 occupations that entered the "ranking" category remained generally stable. Production and transportation equipment operators and related personnel, as well as business and service personnel together account for 77%, and they are still the main body of job shortages in the market. In particular, the “top ten” occupations remained basically stable this period, with only “handling porters” exiting the “top ten”, and “marketing professionals” from the thirteenth in the previous period to the ninth in the current period.

At the same time, the degree of job shortage in different industries has risen and fallen. The shortage of electronics-related occupations such as "electrical connector manufacturer" and "electronic product plate maker" has eased; the shortage of traditional manufacturing-related occupations such as "metal heat treatment worker" and "casting worker" has increased.

In addition, from the perspective of the "ranking" 100 occupations, the number of recruitment needs rose from 1.376 million in the first quarter to 1.489 million, and the number of job seekers rose from 526,000 to 743,000 in the first quarter. The number of gaps dropped from 850 thousand to 746,000 in the first quarter, a decrease of 12.2%, and the relationship between market supply and demand has been significantly eased. Both the number of recruitment demand and job applicants have increased, and the market supply and demand has become more active, confirming the trend of accelerated recovery of the real economy from one aspect.
