American lawmakers continue to think hard about Russia. Illinois Senator Dick Durbin has put forward a bill according to which Russia cannot participate in the G7 meeting until it fulfills three conditions. Namely, to stop: 1) the illegal occupation of Crimea and Donbass; 2) malicious activity directed against the United States and its allies; 3) financial incentives for assassins who attempt to kill American servicemen. Until these requirements are met, Russia's path to the G7 will be tightly closed.

Item 1 means that Russia must evacuate Crimea and leave Donbass to its fate, refusing any assistance to it. This is similar to how the Russian Federation did it in 1992 with the Najibullah regime in Afghanistan. The meaning of clause 3 is that Russia should not continue to be the subject of reports by The New York Times (called "nonsense" and "absurdity" in the Kremlin), which has revealed information about the transfer of money from controlled (not directly, but controlled, understand as you know ) Russian intelligence accounts in bank accounts associated (not directly, but connected, you know as you know) with members of the Taliban *. But the most broadly formulated is clause 2 - under malign activity you can mean anything you like. What we don't like is also harmful.

Translated into Russian, the three conditions of Senator Durbin mean that Russia must return to the state of 1992 and even more. Despite all the strength of the then Kozyrev's diplomacy, Russia at times resisted and cobened, there was no complete obedience. It shouldn't be that way under Durbin. Complete surrender of lands and allies pointed out by the United States, a complete presumption of guilt on any accusations by the American media, and a complete rejection of any foreign policy activity if the United States does not like it.

After that, the American side may think - just think, there are no guarantees - to show great and rich mercy. To admit Russia to the congresses of the powers that be in half the world.

Nobody asks whether Russia itself needs this, probably Moscow's desire to reunite with the G7 is taken for granted. The Kremlin is thought of as "a merchant looking for good pearls, who, having found one precious pearl, went out and sold everything that he had and bought it" (Matthew 13: 45-46). Of course, the comparison of the United States (for all its merits) with the Kingdom of Heaven may seem excessive, but this is how anyone. Many Americans (probably also senators) sincerely believe that every person - poor, rich, young, old, lonely, burdened with a big family - only dreams of giving up everything and at least washing dirty dishes for cash, but in the land of dreams.

Another thing is that Russian politicians may think differently. The benefits of participating in the G7 are pretty daunting. The current participants themselves do not really understand why they are going and what is the use. President Trump in general openly wakes up - "Bring in your hat and coat, I <despised> your name day." To give land and sovereignty for such happiness is an unequal deal.

In addition, the experience of 2014 showed that today you are a member of the G7, and tomorrow you are recognized as unworthy. But this is possible in the future, and the participation fee will not be returned.

As if the project was composed by some naive Chukchi youth. If the author was an ordinary congressman, there would be nothing strange. There are 435 souls in the lower chamber, and they have a lot of wonders, every eccentric Beethoven. As with us.

But the writer is not a naive young man from whom bribes are smooth, but a member of the upper house, and an influential member. Durbin has served as Senator since 1997, and since 2015 he has been the Assistant Leader of the Minority, the second most influential member of the Senate Democratic leadership. And the initiative was supported by more than ten senators.

Of course, it would be too enthusiastic to regard the US Senate as a gathering of heroes and demigods, but still a senator, and not one of the last, this is not a huhry-muhry. At least in terms of influence.

Immediately we see that when old age falls so low as to adolescence ... At least mentally.
