Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, announced that it was newly confirmed that a female student in her twenties living in Osaka Prefecture who had returned home to her family in the city was infected with the new coronavirus.
With this, the total number of confirmed infections in Yamaguchi Prefecture became 43.
Shimonoseki City will hold a press conference at 7 pm to explain the details.
