The Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government reported on July 22 that there were 113 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in Hong Kong, of which 105 were local cases. The total number of confirmed cases reached 2,131, and there was one suspected confirmed case. Zhang Zhujun, director of the Infectious Diseases Division of the Center for Health Protection of the Hong Kong Department of Health, said that 42 of the 105 locally confirmed cases were related to previously confirmed cases, and many people were infected due to meals.
