Former Assistant Commissioner of the Hong Kong Police Force Cai Zhanpeng appointed as the Director of National Security of the Hong Kong Police Force

  On the 22nd, the headquarter reporter confirmed with the Hong Kong police that the post of Chief of the National Security Division of the Hong Kong Police Force has been formally assumed by Cai Zhanpeng, the former Assistant Commissioner (in charge of the Security Department).

  Tsai Zhanpeng joined the police force as an inspector in 1995. He has served in the police force for nearly 24 years. He is mainly responsible for security intelligence and operations. He has also held various frontline operations command positions. He was promoted to Senior Superintendent in 2014 and served as a unit commander in the Ministry of Security, responsible for intelligence operations, investigations, analysis and liaison work related to security affairs; he was promoted to Chief Superintendent in June 2017 and served as deputy director of the Security Ministry; 2019 He was promoted to Assistant Director in January of 1999, in charge of the Security Department.
