  At a briefing on the latest situation of new coronary pneumonia cases held in Hong Kong that day, Zhang Zhujun, director of the Infectious Diseases Division of the Center for Health Protection of the Department of Health, introduced that of the 105 local infection cases, 42 were related to previously confirmed cases, and the source of the remaining 63 was unknown; 8 The imported cases include foreign workers, seafarers, and aviation industry employees.

  Zhang Zhujun said that of the 42 cases related to the previously confirmed cases, 27 were infected with family members, friends, gatherings or eating, and some people were infected at the workplace. In addition, there were new cases in the Daoxiang gathering group at Grand Plaza in Mong Kok and the Fu Lam Restaurant gathering group in Central Plaza, Tuen Mun. There were also cases in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital group.

  As for the cases of unknown origin, Zhang Zhujun said that some of the confirmed patients were hotel chefs and some were kindergarten teachers.

  Yu Huiling, Chief Administrative Manager (Medical Effectiveness and Technology Management) of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, informed at the briefing that there are currently 645 patients with confirmed new coronary pneumonia in the hospital, 29 of whom are in critical condition and 14 are in serious condition. As of 12 noon on the 22nd, 20 patients have been discharged from the hospital in the past 24 hours. So far, a total of 1344 patients with confirmed or suspected infection with the new crown virus have recovered and discharged.
