[Explanation] The Tibetan population in Zeku County, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province accounts for 98.4% of the total population, and is a pure animal husbandry county dominated by Tibetans. Before poverty alleviation, it was one of the key counties of national poverty alleviation and development and one of the most impoverished areas in Qinghai Province.
[Explanation] Renzengcai’s Donggeer community is located in Zequ Town, Zeku County. 713 local households from poor farming and pastoral areas have moved to the current new county. It is the largest resettlement site for poverty alleviation in southern Qinghai. Before Renzeng Cairang moved here, a family of seven people lived a nomadic lifestyle. Due to the small size of the grassland, the income per person was less than 2,000 yuan per year.
[Explanation] In 2017, Renzeng moved a family from an adobe house of less than 40 square meters to a single-family brick house of 96 square meters. Water and electricity are much more convenient than before.

[Explanation] Ren Zengcai bought a sewing machine in his new home and made Tibetan costumes with the craftsmanship passed on to him by his mother, which could increase his annual income by 5,000 yuan. His three children also receive compulsory education here.

In the past, I used to graze every day, and I didn’t have time to work or do other things. Now my family’s cattle are managed by the government. I have time to make clothes and make more money to supplement the family.
[Explanation] After the establishment of the cooperative in 2018, the Dongger community will manage the herdsmen’s livestock uniformly, implement the pasture confirmation policy, and hand over the scientific breeding and grazing to professionals, which not only liberates the labor force, but also protects the local ecological environment. In addition to the 5,000 yuan earned by making Tibetan costumes, Ren Zengcai can also receive collective economic dividends and subsistence allowances by the end of the year. The family's annual income reaches nearly 40,000 yuan.

We have always regarded relocation as a key measure to change jobs, move the poor, and root out the poor. There are 54 relocation sites in the whole prefecture, such as Donggeer community. At the same time, in the process of implementing relocation. , We insisted on both relocation and happiness, achieved full coverage of cadre assistance, industrial development and training and employment, and fundamentally solved the worries of the relocated people.
