Recently, a single wild Asian elephant swaggered into the duty station along a highway in Pu'er City, Yunnan Province. The police on duty immediately controlled the vehicles on both sides of the highway and let the elephants leave. Due to the timely handling, the elephant's activities on the highway did not cause casualties.

According to reports, more than 30 wild Asian elephants have been active for a long time at the junction of Jiangcheng County and Simao District in Pu'er City, Yunnan Province. They enter villages, farmland, and highways from time to time, causing certain safety hazards to villagers and pedestrians.
