After careful consideration, the company will temporarily adjust the train services of many railway lines during non-peak hours starting from Wednesday 22nd of this month. As for the train schedule during peak hours on weekdays, it will not be affected.

  The MTR Corporation pointed out that the Tsuen Wan Line, Kwun Tong Line, Hong Kong Island Line, South Island Line, Tseung Kwan O Line, East Rail Line and West Rail Line will average every 3.5 to 8 minutes during non-peak hours on weekdays, weekends and public holidays. For the shuttle bus, the waiting time of passengers during non-peak hours will be extended by an average of about half a minute to 2 minutes. The train service of Tung Chung Line and Tuen Ma Line Phase I will be adjusted to an average of about 10 minutes during non-peak hours. The non-peak hours of the Airport Express and Disney Line will remain unchanged, that is, every 15 minutes to 30 minutes and 20 minutes respectively.

  The MTR Corporation said that this adjustment of service is to take into account the impact of the newly effective epidemic prevention measures on the travel patterns of citizens during non-peak hours.
