Food security valve

In light of the pandemic, the field of agriculture became in the spotlight, and it became clear that what the Emirates invested over more than four decades in the field of agriculture had paid off, and that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God bless him, was a pioneer in his interest in the agricultural sector. From the beginning of the establishment of the federation, which was indicated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, saying: “The father, Sheikh Zayed, may God bless him, was giving special attention to agriculture and providing it with support, and he never recognized the obstacles and challenges before it, and he did not listen to Those who told him that agriculture has no future in our country, because, may God have mercy on him, was far-sighted, and believes that agriculture is essential in the life of any society, and His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, continued to pay attention to this sector and provide forms of support All of the farmers, to motivate them and develop their vital agricultural projects. ”

Sheikh Zayed believed from the beginning the importance of agriculture, which he expressed in his famous saying: “Show me a country with a strong agricultural base, I will show you a strong, well-established country.” And also his saying: “Give me agriculture, I guarantee you a present.” So he made a lot of effort since he He was the ruler of Al-Ain, to develop agriculture and reclaim new lands and to dig and renew water springs in it. After the establishment of the state, he allocated a huge budget to develop the agricultural sector in the state, and he himself wandered around the country to learn about the requirements of farmers and the problems and difficulties they face to overcome them, with the aim of attracting more farmers and launching local agricultural projects.

Suitable solutions
