The Zayed Center for Studies and Research, affiliated with the Emirates Heritage Club, organized a poetry evening on the evening of yesterday, entitled "Thanks to our first line of defense".

The evening hosted the poets: Dr. Talal Al-Junaibi, Saif Bin Kumidash, Ateeq Al-Kaabi, Ali Al-Muhairi, Ahmed Al-Zarouni, Batoul Al Ali, Rayana Al-Oud, and Nayla Al-Ahbabi, and moderated by the media and poet Marwan Al-Shehhi.

"The evening comes to celebrate the homeland, its accomplishments and loyal soldiers, who have dedicated their lives to defending it and defending its protection," said Fatima Al-Mansoori, director of the Zayed Center for Studies and Research. She added that «the club was the first of Nabati poetry of special importance, as it was one of the first institutions at the state level that contributed to its preservation, as the club issued dozens of collections of Nabati poetry, and organized evenings and forums to celebrate poets.

Al-Mansouri stressed that an evening of "Thank you first line of defense" is a "message of thanks to the working and stationed heroes on the first lines in the face of an epidemic that has confused the world, and it is a tribute to those who work to keep our society safe and happy." Poets read a number of expressive poems. The evening witnessed several interventions, including one from Ahmed Al Falasi, winner of the Maker of Hope Award for 2020, who praised the humanitarian roles and leadership of the Emirates in the whole world.
