On July 20, the Yangtze River Flood No. 2 in 2020, which is evolving towards the middle and lower reaches, transits Yichang, Hubei. At 10:00 on July 17th, due to the recent heavy rainfall in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the Three Gorges area, the inflow of the Three Gorges Reservoir rose to 50,000 cubic meters per second, and the "Yangtze River Flood No. 2 in 2020" was formally formed. In order to ensure the safety of flood control in the middle and lower reaches, the Yangtze River Water Conservancy Department dispatched the upstream reservoirs including the Three Gorges to block floods from 8 am on July 16. Within 78 hours, the cumulative flood storage capacity of the Three Gorges Reservoir was about 6 billion cubic meters. The picture shows Yichang citizens fishing along the Yangtze River.
