Nagano Prefecture 2 people confirmed infection, 1 of whom is a student returning from Tokyo New Corona July 17th 18:10

Nagano Prefecture announced that two people including university students who returned from Tokyo to the prefecture were newly confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.

The number of infected people in the prefecture is now 83.

According to Nagano Prefecture, newly confirmed infections were a male employee in his 20s living in Chikukita Village and a male college student in his 20s who had returned from Tokyo to his parents' house in Matsumoto city.

Of these, a man from Chikukitamura had symptoms of malaise and fever on the 15th, and on the 16th he felt an abnormality in his sense of taste and was tested positive. The man was staying in Aichi prefecture from 10th to 13th of this month.

Another male college student returned from Tokyo on 13th of this month and had symptoms such as headache on 16th.

All of them are hospitalized at medical institutions in the prefecture and are mildly ill.

The prefecture considers that both of them are likely to have been infected outside the prefecture, and is examining their behavior history in detail.

A total of 7 confirmed 2 heavy contacts, all of which were negative as a result of the test.

The prefecture calls for "the number of infected people is increasing in the Tokyo metropolitan area and the Kansai region. When moving, consider behavior and try to prevent infection by basic measures such as hand washing."

On the other hand, six dense contacts of police officers living in Nagano City, who had been infected on the 16th, were all negative as a result of the test, depending on the city.
